Neurons are the building block of the brain and nervous system. Neurons are responsible for transmitting electrical and chemical signals to and from the brain, facilitating cognitive processes and motor control. Investigating molecular profiles of human neurons is crucial for understanding neural and brain functions, as well as various neurological disorders.

Neuron Profile

Hao Research Group

Neuron Profile is an ongoing research program of the Hao Research Group at the George Washington University. This website is established for the visualization and sharing of comprehensive molecular profiles and omics datasets obtained from human stem cell-derived neurons using mass spectrometry techniques. The current version focuses on protein profiles, and future work will include other types of molecules in human neurons.
