Contaminant Libraries

Mass spectrometry-based proteomics is challenged by the presence of contaminant background signals. In particular, protein contaminants from reagents and sample handling are often abundant and almost impossible to avoid. Including a contaminant library can help reduce false discoveries and improve protein identifications in both DDA and DIA proteomics. We have established a series of universal and sample-type specific contaminant protein libraries that can be readily integrated into various proteomic workflows.
